Please read: two B’Tselem reports

B’Tselem is one of the most important human rights’ organizations in Israel, established in 1989. It “strives for a future in which human rights, liberty and equality are guaranteed to all people, Palestinian and Jewish alike, living between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea. Such a future will only be possible when the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime end. That is the future we are working towards. B’Tselem (in Hebrew literally: in the image of) is an allusion to Genesis 1:27: “And God created humankind in His image. In the image of God did He create them.”

In two recently published reports, they shine light on the continuing darkness in Palestine Israel. A report published last December, “”No Place Under Heaven”: Forced displacement in the Gaza Strip, 2023-2025”, they document the horrific displacement of Palestinians since October 2023.

In a report published earlier this month, they provide updated figures and new testimonies from 21 Palestinians released from Israeli prisons in recent months, and draw on data from other Israeli and international human rights organizations. The updated information indicates that Israeli prisons continue to function as a network of torture camps for Palestinians, with the systematic abuse even more extensive than before.
